Our newest and long awaited Scottish Highlands tour will be one of the highlights of the year.
Starting on Sept 1st and lasting 10 nights/11 days, we will be based in the lovely old granite town of Grantown on Spey, just a few miles east of the famous ski resort of Aviemore, nestling beneath the majestic Cairngorm Mountains.
From our "home from home" base, hosted by our friends Donald and Libby McGregor in their lovely home (some of you will remember Libby from The Isles of Scilly a few years ago), we'll set out each day to explore or walk a fascinating part of the Highlands. Libby will cook hearty meals each evening and we will also have the dedicated services of a local experienced mountain guide.
This tour will be a great mix of spectacular mountain walks, river side walks, forest walks, walks along long abandoned railway tracks that weave their way through beautiful scenery down towards the Moray Forth - and of course, we'll also include visits to Whisky Distilleries, lovely old castles, gardens and arboretums.
We are currently designing a brochure and aim to have it completed in late February. We will also be up-dating this web page at that time.
